Most of us have experienced breast cancer in some way, whether its a personal diagnosis, or that of a loved one; breast cancer is still alarmingly common.

Here are some of my favorite brands who've made a point of showing support for breast cancer victims and survivors this month.



Dose Of Colors

This gorgeous pink duo supports Dose Of Colors in making a donation of $30,000 to City Of Hope. The duo is vegan, cruelty free, gluten free and paraben free. Gorgeous!






House Of Lashes

This awesome "Knockout" lash not only looks bomb on the eye but HOL are also donating $1 of each pair sold to Keep A Breast Foundation.




Sigma

Sigma are also donating $1 of each sale of their signature pink items to cancer research at the University of Minnesota. This includes these awesome brush cleaning helpers.



Jane Iredale

Each year, Jane Iredale create limited edition products and donate 100% of profits to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. This year you can choose between their "Smell The Roses" hydration spray and their "Lemongrass Love" hydration spray. Both sound delicious to me.




1:Face Watches

1Face support many different charities with their different watches but they have two that support breast cancer! One priced at $39 and one at $77; both gorgeous.

I wanted to show you this ELF Baked Eyeshadow in full effect so heres a quick GRWM!

I know i didn't do a brush cleaning video that long ago but i did get a chance to use the Sigma Spa Express Mat before it launched and wanted to post about it today since its now available!

I was going to post my "must-haves" but once i started looking through my Sigma collection, i had a really hard time narrowing it down so... heres the scoop!


















  • F25 - Tapered Face. This brush is perfect for setting the undereye as well as the rest of the face.
  • 3DHD - Kabuki. A great foundation buffing brush that allows you to get into the toughest areas with its pointed shape.
  • F15 - Duo Fibre Powder/Blush. I adore this for blush, the size is perfect and it just sweeps the perfect amount onto your cheeks. Also great for bronzing/contour and setting.
  • F64 - Soft Blend Concealer. I love this for concealing/highlighting around the eyes or applying cream contour to the face.

















  • 3DHD - Precision. Similarly to its bigger counterpart its perfect for precision base product application and i especially love it for applying concealer right up to the lash line.
  • E44 - Firm Blender. I love this for both eyeshadow application and really buffing product into the crease or smoking out the lash line as well as precise concealer application or even contouring around the nose. Equal parts dense and soft.
  • E45 - Small Tapered Blending. This brush has such a precise point and applies eyeshadow to the crease or lash line beautifully. For those with hooded lids who like to create their own crease, this is PERFECT! (the E46 is also a great option for this)
  • E35 - Tapered Blending. This could be the softest synthetic blending brush on the market. You will NEVER miss natural hair brushes after you try this. I'd like 100 of these.
  • E21 - Smudge. This cute little dude is perfect for smudging out the upper and lower lash lines as well as applying precision inner corner highlight! You could also do amazingly precise spot correcting with this.


Now, not that this really narrowed it down but hopefully it gave you some ideas of what to try if you are thinking of making the most of the sale. Personally, i think the brushes you use to highlight and contour are just as important as the products you're using to do so.

Here are some of my favorites for both cream and powder highlighting at a variety of price-points.

Cream Highlighting


  • e.l.f. Flawless Concealer Brush: $3- Not only is this brush a bloody bargain but its one of my favorites for correcting, concealing and highlighting small areas. Perfect to highlight under eyes, down the nose and the center of the chin.
  • it Cosmetics Dual Airbrush Foundation Concealer Brush: $48- To buff out or highlight larger areas or less precisely, i like using the larger end of this brush because although its still fairly dense, its still fluffy enough to give an airbrushed finish.
  • Sigma F65 Large Concealer Brush: $18- For those who prefer a traditional foundation brush for cream products, this is a great sized brush for precise, yet easy work of cream highlight under the eyes, chin and forehead. Turn it length-ways to highlight down the nose. 
  • Sigma P84 Precision Angled Brush: $18- I like this to apply thicker cream products under the eyes for a really flawless, full coverage. Also great for other small areas like the nose and center of the chin.


Cream Contouring




Powder Highlighting


  • Real Techniques Setting Brush: $8- This is perfect for highlighting and setting under the eyes with your favorite matte highlight shade. Its softness and pointed tip also make it perfect to highlight down the nose and for shimmer highlight on top of the cheek bones. 
  • e.l.f. Blush Brush: $3- This works well to highlight small areas due to its pointed tip but also works well for larger areas like highlighting the center of the forehead or running it on the tops of your cheek bones. Also great for shimmer highlight by just dusting the very tip in the product.
  • e.l.f. Fan Brush: $3- Not everyone likes fan brushes but i think this one is perfect for applying VERY shimmery highlighters with a light hand. You really can't mess it up with this one.


Powder Contouring


  • OCC Small Powder/ Blush Brush: $24- This is my all time favorite for easy powder contouring. Its small and dense enough for precise application but also soft enough to make easy work of blending. Great for everyone from beginners to pros!
  • e.l.f. Mineral Powder Brush: $3- This is basically a slightly softer version of the above brush so gives a more natural effect if thats what you desire.
  • e.l.f. Blush Brush: $3- Use the flat edge of the brush to apply a defined line then twist is 90 degrees to buff the product out. A great multi-tasking brush!

If you have all the basic makeup brushes covered and want to amp up your arsenal, i really recommend the Sigma Precision Kit.

 I love these for concealing under the eyes, spot correction, contouring the nose and even carving out brows.

Videos might be a bit weird while i figure out final cut but its making more sense each time i use it so bear with me. Also i was sick when i filmed this so thats why i mostly have blank face.

Prior to applying any makeup i use the One Love Organics Eye Balm and the Tarte Priming Serum & Brightener.

If you're just beginning your highlighting/contour journey i'd recommend sticking with maybe 1 or 2 brands just to keep it simple; ELF and NYX both have great, inexpensive concealers you can highlight with and if you want a cheaper product to contour with you could try one of the NYX concealers that comes in a stick form thats just 2-3 shades darker than your skin (liquids also work well for contouring but cream or a solid is easier to begin with imo).
If you're feeling as though its time to make some additions to your makeup brush arsenal, i highly recommend the Sigma Kabukis to create a FLAWLESS face.
