I know a lot of you struggle with anxiety or depression and find self care tough so here are some reminders. I hope you'll join in and leave your favorite self care rituals and tips below too!

Self Care Basics:
  • Get out of bed & make the bed.
  • Shower & wash your hair.
  • Make something to eat and drink water.

The other 5:
  • Apply your favorite face mask or take time to pamper your body, even if its just slathering lotion on your body.
  • Make a nice cup of tea.
  • Take a bath and enjoy it. If you don’t have a bath, hop in the shower & treat your bod.
  • Do some yoga. If you’re not into yoga, just have a stretch or wiggle or even meditate.
  • Write it down. Either in a planner that helps guide you or just writing down whats on your mind. Get it out of your head.

Stuff i mentioned:

Don't forget to leave your favorites below or anything that helps make things a little less glum on your off-days.

Did i forget to link anything? If so, just ask!

I recently received the most beautiful mandala ring from The Fifth Element Life and had to share because i know a lot of you loved my jewelry lookbook.

The Fifth Element Life brand itself was created by the beautiful Sarah Wilder (you can read all about her here) and sells books, jewelry, beautiful prints and more.

Her Mandala rings were what caught my eye and i loved that each had its own meaning, offering themselves up as your own beautiful talisman that can be worn always. Although they can definitely make a statement and are larger pieces, they still seem dainty and flow with your anatomy.

The one i chose was Intuition, initially because of the design but when i thought about it further, intuition is something i've always tried to hone in on as its never guided me wrong. I love that!

"This mandala represents the ability to trust, listen and stay open. To embrace the messages sent to you from the universe."

I love that!

You can find everything you need to know about this beautiful store right here.

I had a couple of messed up travel days and bad internet access but i did post this to youtube on monday.

Enjoy & normal service will resume asap!

I know i've kept you hanging on fitness videos for a while now but i'm struggling with my own fitness journey right now so i thought i'd just share what i do when i feel my body needs a stretch.

Usually i watch Sarah Beth Yoga for ideas but sometimes i just follow what my body wants and this was the result of that.

I am working on a proper workout routine video and also a "what i eat" type of video but wanted to leave you this for the meantime.

Hope you enjoyed and please remember i'm not a professional of any kind, this is just how i wake my body up.

Its been a little while since my last fitness post and honestly, i'm still struggling with finding a new routine.

One thing i have been able to stick to a few times a week is yoga, either stretching out slowly by myself or using Sarah Beth's Youtube.

I rave about her channel frequently but i just love how she has a video for everyone. Stomach issues? Flexibility? Back pain? Scoliosis? Diet? She touches on everything and tells you how to customize things to suit your needs.

I particularly like her morning and night time videos as well as her flexibility ones that really stretch everything out.

What are some things you use online or on your phone to help you stick to a fit lifestyle?

Its that time of year where you want to start over and be the best you possible, right?
Say what you will about "new years resolutioners", at least its happening; who cares when...

I get lots of questions about diet and fitness and truthfully, sometimes i don't answer because i feel like i'm not qualified to and sometimes i don't answer because i'm stuck in a rut and feel i am not the person to be asking because i am very lazy!

So because i've had this kick up the bum to get back on track and fill up my fitness section of the site, here are some fitness resolutions i'm making.

  • Drink 128 oz water a day- i drink lots of water any way and that happens to be 2 of my giant hydro flasks per day. Having a set goal like that makes me drink more than if i just pour myself glasses through out the day.
  • Take my pre and post workout goodies regularly- Vega are the best i've found for workout supplements because all of them are plant based and easy for your body to use. Their pre-workout energizer helps me to push through workouts without watching the clock (highly recommend if you're doing cardio) and their sports performance protein definitely helps me recover quicker meaning i'm not sore for the next day.
  • Use less vegan butter sticks when cooking- if Paula Deen was vegan, that might be me (strictly based on butter usage). Especially in the winter, i always want to make pies and buttery mash and mmmmm, yeah- it needs to stop.
  • Do cardio- i hate cardio because i get bored and i don't want my boobs to jostle around. Luckily i can walk fast at high incline and get my heart rate into its target zone without the latter issue occurring. I plan to do 20 minutes 3x a week to start.
  • Take weekly pictures- i like to base progress on how i feel but sometimes i swear my hormones make me have this insanely warped view of what i look like. So because of this i'm going to start taking photos again to compare my progress in a more clear manner.
  • Yoga- i love yoga; i feel good when i do yoga; and yet i rarely do. I have no idea why this is but it happens in other areas of my life too, i love to sabotage my ultimate happiness. I'm aiming to do a little every day or when i remember and start watching youtube videos for some guidance. I'm also setting a goal to feel confident in one new pose per week.

I think its really important for your goals to be based around feeling better and not numbers and percentages. What are some of your favorite fitness kick-starters? Add yours below and maybe we can all share them and do this together.

If you've explored my page much, you may have noticed that the fitness area is decidedly empty, which, is pretty ridiculous since a lot of the questions i get involve health or fitness in some sense.

I really want to rectify the lack of fitness info on here so i wanted to ask YOU what you most want to see?

Leave your comments below so i can get some inspiration from you lovely readers!
