Lets set things straight.

It struck me recently that some people don't use a setting spray on their makeup, which then made me realize how much i actually do use them.
I feel like they deserve a lot more credit than they currently get so here are 2 of my secret weapons.

NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray

As with any products, what works for some won't necessarily work for everyone but at $8 a bottle, its worth a try. I love finishing my makeup off with a spritz of NYX Matte Setting Spray, it just makes everything look like skin again!
If you've over-powdered your face and find your powder foundation tends to crack up and settle in your creases after a few hours, i'd really recommend trying this out. It sort of turns your powder into an airbrush finish and makes the makeup wear longer.
I don't necessarily find it always keeps me totally matte but i'm also not a fan of super matte skin cause i like it to look a little more natural.

NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray

I usually use this just on the sides of my face to highlight my cheeks a little, and because i don't want a shinier nose/t-zone than i already have. Another way to use this just in certain areas is to spray some onto a clean brush (i like the ELF blush brush) and press it into my cheek bones or anywhere i want dewy.
For photos, if you want to recreate that super dewy, sexy, summery skin; i recommend trying this out. You could do a few light layers and just put a little translucent setting powder in the areas you want a little more matte (center of nose, under eyes).
