Grey Eye Pictorial

Tuesday, January 19, 2016

I filmed this look then decided i hated the footage so figured i'd turn it into a pictorial for you guys since you seemed to still like the finished look.

You can find a mini video on my Instagram!

1) Mark out a scruffy liner with Pacifica's Natural Eye Pencil  in Fringe. We're going to smudge it out so don't worry about being precise.

2) Using a little of Makeup Geek's Mocha eyeshadow, smudge the liner into a shape to suit your lid. I kept it to my actual lid only and winged it out a little at the outer edge.

3) Layer Makeup Geek's Bedrock eyeshadow (mine is from their vegan bundle) over the shape you mapped out. I find layering cooler shadows over warm ones makes them more flattering for my coloring as well as more opaque.

4) Using a fluffy brush and a little of Makeup Geek's Peach Smoothie eyeshadow, soften any harsh edges.

5) Using the same eyeliner, line waterline, lashline and tightline to add a little warmth and intensity.

6) Smudge lower lash line into inner corner as well as the outer corner, joining it to the shadow you did on the eyelid.

7) Soften with a little of the grey you used on the lid.

8) Clean up the inner corners and highlight with Makeup Geek's Vanilla Bean eye shadow.

9) Add mascara, like a lot of mascara. I used Too Faced's Better Than Sex. You can add lashes if you like but i decided to stick to my natural lashes.

And that, is it! Hopefully you enjoyed a little something different on my blog and might try this out yourself.  Be sure to tag me in a pic if you do!
