Skin care essentials for clear, healthy skin.

Thursday, August 14, 2014

I've had lots of questions lately asking how to make foundation last longer on the skin or how to make skin appear smoother and, to me, the best way to achieve this is to really take care of your skin. Its the foundation of a great makeup application so definitely worth spending a little time over.

I love skincare so thats why this video is a bit rambly but i genuinely LOVE these products and wanted to share them with you.

Previously one of the problems i had was that i would try and make skin care last and would use it too sparingly/infrequently and just didn't get the results i wanted. Using these products as instructed might result in me having to buy replacements more often but i'd say its worth it for clear, healthy skin. Plus theres no point spending money on products if they aren't working for you so always read the directions to make sure you get the most out of the product.

Other than that, my golden rules for clear skin are to only put things in your body that nourish it and your body is capable of digesting. What i mean by that is that if you know you shouldn't eat dairy or wheat, sugar or other certain crappy foods, don't eat them- they will find their way out of your body some how and i usually find its through my skin.

Lastly, and this should go without saying, drink LOTS of water! Not only does it keep your skin hydrated and plump but it helps flush out any toxins.

This covers my morning cleanser, evening cleanser/makeup remover and my heavy duty eye makeup remover.

Great for travel because its a multi-use product. Gentle and effective!

Great for removing the days makeup and leaving skin toned.

Awesome for stubborn eye makeup and lash glue!

I like to exfoliate 2-3 times a week to keep my skin consistently smooth and my pores unclogged.

Mix this powder with a little water in the shower for a gentle yet effective scrub-a-dub-dub.

Toning helps to keep my pores tighter and prep the skin for whats next!

Great as a toner or cleansing water!

Skin tone enhancers-

Wasn't sure what else to call these but these products have greatly improved the overall appearance of my skin and brightened it up!

This stuff has brightened my skin in a way i can't really explain. Its brought a glow to my skin and has faded any small scarring from zits.
Not to mention it is much safer than traditional lightening products that contain hydroquinone.

Brightens skin and works incredibly as a primer under makeup!

For both face-skin and eyes, whether you have dry or oily skin, moisturizing is SO important.

Without a doubt the best eye "cream" i've ever tried. A must have!

An awesome, lightweight gel moisturizer.
Helps skin retain moisture and is easily absorbed with no residue.

Another great travel product because of its many uses.
Perfect for night time, winter or extremely dry skin.
