I had the pleasure of trying out some Kaeng Raeng products so i figured i'd share this beautiful company with you!

Kaeng Raeng started as a company that made vegan, filling cleanse options that eliminated that crappy "detox" feeling many others leave you with.

Now creating other powder supplement options, i was able to try out their Daily Green Energy packets. Many meal replacement-style products are just filler but these contain loads of nutritional goodies including probiotics, protein, b-vitamins and 12 fruits and veggies.

I mixed mine with juice or threw a pack into my smoothie and really found it helped keep me full and had a very inoffensive, slightly berry-like taste to them.

After reading up on them a little bit, i think these packs would be great for pregnant women suffering from morning sickness because they also contain ginger to settle the stomach as well as all the other nutrients i mentioned above.

Overall, a great option if you are looking for a good supplement powder targeted towards vegans!

Another of their products is their After Glow Serum, made of a series of organic oils that make this perfect for many skin types.

Facial oils are perfect for dry or sensitive skin types because they are so soothing and provide a barrier to keep moisture in. This blend contains lavender, frankincense and neroli which deal with the bacteria and healing that come with breakouts so its great for problematic skin also.

I like to apply it to wet skin out of the shower before bed and let it work its magic overnight.

Another beautifully luxurious product i got to try is their detoxfoliant (apparently a Lauren Conrad favorite), the scrubbiest scrub i've tried.

If you want a scrub that is really gonna put in work, this stuff is amazing! One thing i will say is DO NOT use this AFTER hair removal or you might feel like your skin is on fire. Prior to hair removal, however, this stuff is perfect and helps leave you silky smooth!

You can find these, along with the rest of their products at kaengraeng.com

After mentioning ingrown hairs in my Spinbrush video, a lot of you mentioned you got them from time to time also, so i figured i'd share all my tips for avoiding them all-together.

Traditionally people will use astringent products that are intended to just dry the skin out all together, removing its natural oils. While, yes, this may work in theory; what tends to happen in that it will either kick the skin into oil-producing overdrive OR it will dry out and deteriorate the integrity of the skin and make it harder for the hair to penetrate the top layers, causing more ingrown hairs.

I like to use a combination of the following which i find has helped me to avoid ingrown hairs from shaving or waxing.

Exfoliate
I exfoliate before hair removal AND after. Exfoliating before will help to remove any dead skin build up around the hairs, meaning your chosen method of hair removal has more hair to either grip hold of or cut off.

I exfoliate the day after (once my skin has calmed down from waxing) and continue to do so daily so that the follicle can penetrate the skin surface easily when it regrows. It also keeps you feeling silky smooth!

Using the Spinbrush (review and massive discount here) with the body head attachment has really helped to keep my skin smooth and free of bumps.

If you prefer body scrubs, i'd recommend the Pacifica Kona Scrub or making your own and customizing it to your own needs.

Moisturize
I like to use a gentle, scent free moisturizer on the area like the One Love Organics Coconut & Salt Lotion or even a little coconut oil if you prefer. This will help keep that skin healthy, prevent any drying of the skin and allow hairs to regrow easily.

Treat
If its too late and a bump has reared its ugly head, i like to treat it with tea tree oil daily to dry it out in a more natural way. I apply it just to the direct area with a q tip to stop it drying out the surrounding skin. I've found doing this reduced inflammation, dries out the spot and means you can generally just "pop" the hair out (carefully and hygienically, of course).

Maintain
If you do shave, i'd recommend switching to a new blade at least every week. This will mean your blade is always sharp and won't cause any irritation to the skin.

I like using the Dollar Shave Club (review here) and have the blades delivered monthly so i never run out.

Growing up in the UK, i am very familiar with Soap & Glory but after falling out of touch with the brand, i was pleasantly surprised to recently find out that they have LOTS of vegan options!

The brand reached out to me to see if i'd like to try out some of their items and although were very generous with what they sent (thank you x100000), i'm under no obligation to post/review/push their products. Although i'm sure you guys know the drill by now.

For those of you who haven't heard of the brand, they've been sold in Boots in the UK for many years now and are known for their fun brand philosophy, effective products and great pricing. Or in their own words,
"We're a fun, fresh, fearless, fantastic British beauty brand. And we're known for wonderfully effective bath, body and skincare products including the super-plumping lip gloss Sexy Mother Pucker™ and award winning The Righteous Butter™ body butter. Soap & Glory recommends applying products with happiness and abandon, because while beauty absolutely matters, it doesn't matter absolutely."

Now selling in a variety of countries, including the good old USA, i figured it was a great brand to share with you guys because its so widely accessible now.

If you'd like to see their full list of vegan items, you can see them here in their FAQ! I love their website because if you find a product that you love the scent of, you can then search for other items with the same fragrance and hot damn, i appreciate those small things when it comes to shopping online.

On to the review...

Scrub Your Nose In It- $12, Face Soap & Clarity- $15

Starting with the face, i found both of these products to be effective, gentle and pack great bang for your buck!

Scrub Your Nose In It is a cooling blue cream cleanser with the finest microderm scrubbers i've ever experienced. The fine exfoliating particles do a great job at breaking down any dead skin build up (especially around the nose for us normal/dry/oily combo cuties) while the cream they're suspended in provides a great smooth lather to prevent too much scrubbing irritation.
After scrubbing a dollop into my t zone for 2 minutes, i rinse with room temp water, pat dry and wait for the cooling sensation to kick in.

Great for after a long day of full-on makeup or in the morning for a cooling wake-up call.

The first thing i noticed about the Face Soap & Clarity Wash was the sheer size of the bottle! 16+oz for $15 is an awesome deal because this will last you forever!

I love this cleanser for the mornings where i want to wash away the night's oils and start fresh. Although it doesn't have the cooling effect of the scrub, it definitely has a bright, fresh scent that wakes you up via the nose.

It gives a great clean without leaving my skin feeling overly dry and i think this would be a great one for anyone looking for a new cleanser who doesn't really know where to start.

Flake Away- $15, The Righteous Butter- $15

This is a great duo to slough off all that dry, winter skin and leave you feeling silky smooth!

Flake Away Body Polish is a delicious peach scrub (think ye olde faithful apricot scrub but for your bod) that boasts transforming your legs from "reptilian to radiant" and does just that.

If you have fairly dry skin on your body like me, you'll know its hard to find the right balance between exfoliating the dead skin away and not irritating the new skin beneath. My legs especially get very dry and lizard-like but this scrub really helps to make them look more human and supple.

The shea butter and almond oil keeps your skin hydrated and means the exfoliating scrubbers have a nice soft buffer to glide across your skin and aren't too harsh. The scent is fruity and girly but not sickly.

This is a great option to use before a self tanner because it doesn't leave an oily residue.

The perfect follow up to that is The Righteous Butter, this is one of the products they're known for and was voted Britain's Best Body Butter. I've been hearing about it for years so was excited to get to try it and now totally understand the hype.

S&G suggest applying it to damp skin and i LOVE products that work like this to really trap in the moisture. Although it has a thick consistency, as soon as you begin to massage it into the skin, it really melts away and is absorbed so quickly.

It's shea butter and aloe ingredients would make this really soothing for sunburned bodies or other irritation.

For the smoothest legs of the summer, i use the scrub, then shave and follow up with the body butter and WOW i have some smooth stems.

The Firminator- i could only find this on the UK site

The Firminator boasts that it can help the appearance of cellulite and help tone the skin, while i don't feel i can either confirm or deny those specific claims... here's why i like it any way.

For those of you who want hydrated skin with no residue, this stuff is awesome. Its easily absorbed and makes your skin glow without looking or feeling sticky. The peppermint in it gives a refreshing, cooling effect and would be great for summer for that sensation as well as the fact that sand/pollen/dust isn't going to stick to your lotioned up legs!

As i said, i can't comment on whether it has helped my cellulite or not but as a lotion, i love it!

If you like keeping your paws soft and supple, these two little tubes are your friends!

Hand Food is great for deep hydration without the sticky residue. Its easily absorbed, smells delightful and doesn't need to be reapplied for a WHILE!

I'm definitely gonna try and get a mini for my carry on bag because its the perfect formula for travel and the scent just gives you that fresh boost you need after being in a tin can for a few hours.

Heel Genius packs a double punch with fruit acids to break down dry skin and several hydrating ingredients to penetrate your hoofs to leave them soft and yummy.

I like to apply this thick before bed and when i wake up it honestly feels like i've had a pedicure. You can apply it a little lighter in the day time and its quick absorption means you won't be slipping on any hard floors... throw on a pair of socks if sliding around is your thing, however.

Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick- $10

Lastly is their gloss stick, yes... a stick of gloss! I know i say it at least 100X a day but DAMN this will be good for travel; you have the effects of a gloss but in solid form so you don't need to bag it up in your carry on! The stick form also makes for easy application because you can apply it like a chapstick, press your lips together and you're ready to go.

This shade, Nudist (check their FAQ for other vegan cosmetic items), is a perfect every day color for a variety of skintones because it goes on so sheer with just a hint of a tint.

Overall i'm really impressed with everything and i've been eager to take more baths to make the most of all these pampering products.

Have you guys ever tried anything from Soap & Glory?

Note: Soap & Glory are currently pending on Logical Harmony's CF list so shoot them a tweet or email encouraging them to get certified by the lovely Tashina!
For those who don't know, Petit Vour is a luxury, vegan beauty subscription box.

1) Rose Mira Sweet Coconut Body Butter

This has a beautiful texture and leaves skin soft and supple without any residue.

2) Earthbody Brighten Cleanser and Mask

A pale red-brown powder with a light, earthy scent. Works great as a cleanser and left my skin firmer but very soft, not tight. It can also be used as a weekly mask!

3) Harvey Prince Journey Fragrance

A summery scent thats still warming. Notes of clove, sandalwood & rose.

4) BWC Mineral Eyeliner in Soft Brown

A great shade to add definition without the starkness of black. Glides on easy but still retains enough stiffness to be precise!

5) Mini Me Gray Label Tangerine Lip Butter

Adorable packaging and lovely scent. Hydrates well but don't roll it up too far cause this stuff is very soft and will smudge all over your face!

I came across Olivine's Love & Salt Beach Spray online which boasted rave reviews and after i discovered it was vegan, well i had to try it... right? (evidentally i also had to have their lotion and pencils too, but we'll get to that later)

I'm a big fan of the creation of the sea salt spray but i must admit, some tend to make my fine, colored hair seem a little sticky and frazzled. So when i read that not only does the Olivine spray contain "good" hydrating salts like Himalayan pink salt; but also coconut oil, i got quite excited and was not let down.

Firstly the spray smells delicious, a light coconut scent with a hint of the ocean. The spray nozzle dispenses the product evenly which might seem an odd thing to note but i've had my fair share of crappy nozzles in my time. It gave my hair texture, body and movement and even looked better after sleeping with my hair in a bun after using it the night before.

I'm definitely a fan, now onto the other items!

I got the Amongst The Waves lotion which is probably my new summer scent as i smelled delicious and felt hydrated right up until bed time and beyond. The scent is very similar to the beach spray but with an extra tropical hint i can't quite put my finger on.

I know it seems cliche but the gorgeous, self-affirmation-encouraging packaging really did it for me and reading up on the creator's ritual belief in body lotion appealed to my inner (and sometimes outer) self-affirming princess,

"I find that putting on body lotion is one of the ultimate steps in
taking care of your body and spirit...And ultimately your level of
self love.
When I miss putting on lotion for a couple days in a row it's the
same thing to me as not exercising or eating right...
I am simply not taking proper care of myself.

And the ULTIMATE way to apply your body lotion?
Slowly and deliberately, all the while telling your body,
 "YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL".
Try it for a week and tell me if it makes a difference!"

Continuing on from the self-affirming theme (hey, its important and there ain't no shame in it), i also purchased these truly adorable pencils which almost made me wish i was back in school so someone could ask to borrow one. How could you use these and not smile?

Over all i think Olivine is a great, cruelty free, vegan company with relatively well priced items for yourself or as adorable gifts.
Their products have organic ingredients and their packaging is so gorgeous you'll want to display it all on your vanity.

Tattoos are a huge investment and one way to preserve your artwork (& youthful good looks) is to ALWAYS protect your skin from the sun, so when Tadu Defense contacted me to send me their product specifically aimed at tattoo sun protection- i jumped at the chance.

(Tadu also sent me 2 other tubes to give away so check my IG for giveaway info)

What it claims:

  • Designed for Daily Use
  • Specifically Formulated for Tattoos
  • SPF 35+ UVA/UVB Protection
  • Ultra-Light Absorbing
  • Non-Greasy
  • Vegan Friendly

Packaging- 5/5

  • Sleek matte black tube with clear panels showing the light blue product inside
  • Snap lid is really strong so i wouldn't worry about beach bag explosions
  • Squeezy tube for easy dispensing and no mess

Product application- 5/5

  • Thin consistency makes it easy to rub in without missing areas
  • Easily absorbed and rubs in clear
  • Kept my skin feeling lightly moisturized even though i tend to get quite dry on my body
  • No real scent which most will appreciate although i'm a sucker for a yummy scented lotion
  • No greasy, sticky residue
  • Definitely a unisex product and i think anyone who likes a light lotion would love this regardless of the SPF
  • Also felt light enough on my face that i didn't fear breakouts popping up immediately

(just left my skin with a light sheen but no residue)

Overall-

I was really pleasantly surprised by this after trying countless sun screens in the past that left my skin feeling sticky and my pores blocked.
I've seen lots of products boasting they're "not like other sun screens" but always end up leaving my skin feeling gross where as this just feels like my skin is super hydrated, no residue at all.

I'll be interested to try this more when we actually have more sun to check its SPF-related abilities but other than that i really think this is pretty awesome.

Considering a similarly sized chemical sunscreen from a drug store is around $10, i'd happily spend $16.99 for one that didn't give me bacne and is gentle enough for face and bod.

I gave this such a high rating because it really just does exactly what it says it does; truly a light fragrance free SPF with natural skincare properties.

($39 @ Sephora)

I'm really loving these rich, moisturizing body butters from Korres. Not only do they smell incredible but they are vegan and cruelty free!

The vanilla guava one is absolutely going to be my summer go-to because of its sexy tropical scent.
Its no secret that i've loved OLO and Miss Dehn  for a while now after my BFF introduced me to them a couple of years ago, because i know their products are pretty much the best i'm really pumped to show you 2 of their new items!

I've used their face products for a long time now and they've pretty much turned my skin around in the gentlest of ways so i was really excited to try their vitamin C body oil.

Applied on damp skin, fresh out of the shower, you need the smallest amount to lock in that moisture and keep you smooth all day. This on freshly shaved legs is just... well, you won't be able to stop touching your legs, ok?

The other nice thing is that you only need the smallest amount and you'll be smelling like a tropical cocktail all day. Not to mention the adorable packaging; god damn they do a good job!

As for the konjac sponge, well i've mentioned my love for them before in my March Favorites but i'm so happy my favorite skin care company now has them, too. Also, the fact its heart shaped and comes in different colors and shapes just really appeals to me.

Essentially konjac sponges are just a really awesome way of cleansing and gently exfoliating while keeping the amount of product you need to use at a minimum.

Many of you who've been following my blogs for a while will know that i LOVE all of the ED4OLO products, well they've just blown my mind by releasing a body oil and as someone who takes hydration very seriously i cannot wait to try it out. Mine is waiting for me at home and i cannot wait!

Here's what the website has to say,

"One part super-rich moisturizer, one part luxury skin refiner, Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Vitamin C Body Oil features facial-grade ingredients blended specifically for the body. An ultra-concentrated combination of Vitamin C Ester, papaya enzymes and organic shea oil deeply hydrate and gently exfoliate for smooth, dewy, even-toned skin.

"
After walking past the enormous Liz Earle stand in Boots a few times i felt strangely drawn to have a little look today and not only are her products Humane Cosmetics Standard certified but contain no animal ingredients.

It seems companies in the UK aren't usually quite so forthcoming with useful information like this on their packaging so this made a nice change.

Some of her items do contain beeswax or manuka honey (some might argue those are, in fact, animal ingredients) but you can read more about their principles here.

Here are a few of her products that don't contain honey or beeswax (i don't think there should be any other ingredients of concern for vegans but comment if you know otherwise).
